(There are 10 options including NSQF subjects)

For the students of "Centre of Excellence" where we have to offer two compulsory subject of NSQF 5 the Scheme of Studies recommended fur this purpose is as follows:

• 1. Hindi
• 2. English
• 3.IT & ES
• 4. Any other subject under NSQF
• S. Muthcmatics
• 6. Social Science
• 7.Science

Thus there will be seven subjects to study and qualify.

At Sr. Secondary Level : As per the present Scheme of Studies, the following main s ubject s are compulsory to qualify ·in the three streams :

• lumanities: 1.English 2.Hindi
• Commerce : 1.English
• Science : 1.English

ln total a student has to qualify in at least five subjects including the compulsory subjects. Now if two subjects of NSQF are to be offered in all the three streams for the students of Centre of Excellence. the Scheme of Stlldies for this purpose is recommended as follows :

Notes:

• In Science/Commerce Groups, English (Core or Elective) is compulsory. In addition, a candidate can opt for one more language at the most .
• ln Humanities Group both English (Core/Elective) and Hindi (Core/Elective) are compulsory. ln addition a candidate can opt for one more language at the most.
• Regular candidates are free to opt for any additional subject/s only within stream. However, it is optional and need not to be taken compulsory.
• A blind candidate shall be exempted from practical examination except in music & dance and in case of such exemption, the marks in theory papers shall b proportionately increased.
• The Board shall lay down detailed syllabi in various subjects and prescribe/approve/recommend textbooks for study in the subjects.
